This Damage Waiver Policy allows renters to limit their financial liability for certain accidental physical damage to the rented trailer during the rental period.
2. Coverage Provided
When purchased, the Damage Waiver covers up to $5,000 in total repair or replacement costs for the following types of accidental damage:
Trailer body damage (dents, scratches, panel damage)
Tire or fender damage (excluding blowouts)
Accidental damage to the lighting system
Fire or storm damage (excluding flood/submersion)
3. Deductible
The renter is responsible for the first $500 of any covered damage claim.
The waiver covers the next $4,500, for a maximum total coverage of $5,000 per rental agreement.
Any damage exceeding the $5,000 limit is the full responsibility of the renter.
4. Exclusions
The Damage Waiver does not cover:
Tire blowouts or wear and tear
Interior trailer damage from improper loading
Damage from overloading, off-road use, or misuse
Damage caused by towing with an unsafe or unauthorized vehicle
Vandalism without a police report
Personal belongings or cargo
Damage while operated by an unauthorized driver
Failure to secure the trailer properly
Any fraudulent or intentional damage
5. Renter’s Responsibilities
To qualify for coverage under this waiver, the renter must:
Operate the trailer within legal and manufacturer guidelines
Secure the trailer when not in use
Immediately report any incident to Hot Rod Trailer Sales
Provide a police report in the case of theft, vandalism, or third-party incidents
Pay the $500 deductible before any waiver coverage is applied

This Damage Waiver is not insurance. It is a contractual modification of the renter’s liability under the rental agreement and applies only to certain types of accidental damage as specified in this policy.
